Introductory Paddle ($40) Two Hours, departure times are flexible
Never kayaked before? No problem! Come out and enjoy the ocean with us as we guide you safely
along our gorgeous seashore. You’ll love the ease and grace of your kayak as it floats along the
water’s surface.
Ipswich Bay Tour ($50) Three Hours, departure times are flexible
Join us in exploring Gloucester's northern coast on Ipswich Bay. We set out from Lane’s Cove,
a quaint working harbor. With Plum Island and Crane's Beach as our backdrop we will check out
coves, beaches and wildlife. This is a great way to get a new perspective of this historic area.
No kayaking experience is necessary.
Kayak-Snorkel Tour ($75): Four hours, from 10am-2pm (gear provided, including wet
suits). Kayak to incredible snorkel spots along Gloucester’s gorgeous rocky Northern Shore.
Explore waters full of starfish, sea anemones and more! This is the perfect tour combining views
from above and below the ocean!
Sunset Tour ($40) Two Hours: (6:00-8:00 pm) Join us for the most spectacular location on
Cape Ann for stunning sunset views over Ipswich Bay. Watch the play between light, water and
sky dance before your eyes. An awe inspiring experience.
Full Moon Tour ($40) Two Hours (7:00-9:00pm) A unique experience combining a fantastic sunset and a dramatic moon rise. Drift along in the quiet evening light trailing bioluminescence
in your wake. To take advantage of the most moonlight, tours are offered for a few days before
and after the full moon of each month.
All tours are
weather dependent. Full refunds are given if cancelations are due to extreme winds and weather. We still love to paddle in a light rain with smooth seas. Dress accordingly and call with any local weather questions.
Private Tours (no set price) Let us arrange the perfect experience for you! We offer a dynamic
range of services for private group paddles: catered lunches, travel arrangements (Take the
train from Boston’s North Station), mulit-day paddle trips to local B&B’s or camping tours on
historic islands. From a catered, family snorkel/paddle to spontaneous bachelor/ette parties call
us here at the shop to discuss what you want and what we can offer.

2 Hour Kayaking Basics Instructional Class ($60): In this two hour class we will
introduce you to some basic kayak skills including learning to get in and out of your
kayak safely at the landing, basic forward paddle stroke technique and form, reverse
stroke, stern rudder (to steer your boat), sweep strokes (to turn your boat), draw
strokes and assisted rescue techniques (wet suits are available for your comfort).
3 Hour Intermediate Kayaking Instructional Class ($75): This course will review
the techniques described in our 2 hour class description but is extended to include
rough water training and advanced rescue techniques (we’ll have our wet suit on for
this one!). We will cover bracing techniques, sculling, additional assisted rescues
including the T-X and H rescues, the Hand of God, and finally the self rescue with
and without rescue aids (paddle float).
2 Hour Private Instruction ($100) This course provides a one to one student
instructor ratio. Commonly, this low ratio allows the client to learn faster and ask
more questions. It can be taken to learn specific techniques (such as rolling,
surfing, or navigation) or as a refresher course for experienced paddlers where the
client sets the learning pace of the class or for those clients who just feel more
comfortable learning on thier own.
Our fleet of boats is available to rent for experienced paddlers who can perform a self-rescue. If you
are not experienced enough to perform a deep-water rescue, we have sit on top boats
(single/tandem) that are less likely to flip over and easier to climb aboard if you do!
Rentals are $20 an hour with a minium of 2 hours ($40)
Weekly Rentals are Monday thru Friday ($200)
